BookSwap is back! This fabulous day of exchanging and celebrating books will take place on Friday 3rd March.
BookSwap is a fantastic day where every child goes home with a new book – completely free! The Lower Hall is transformed into a mini library where classes visit throughout the day to swap their old books for new ones. We ask everyone to bring in a book on the day they can swap for a different one. All children participate – from nursery to Year 6.
We realise that not everyone is able to bring in a book, so to make sure that everyone gets a new book we try to collect as many books in advance as possible. Last year we received so many books that many children were able to take home two books each. We would love to be able to do this again this year.
We will be collecting books at the school gates, so please have a rummage at home for books you’ve finished with – all will be gratefully received, though please don’t bring baby or toddler books. You can also drop books off at the office.
For all parents with older children – we are very keen to collect books for the higher years (8 -11yrs), as we are usually low on these – so if you have children in secondary school, or have family or friends with older children, please do ask if they have any books which they could pass on to keen younger readers!
Thank you in advance for all your books and support!
