The art of Easter chocolate negotiations

The highly anticipated Greenspace Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday was a stonking success.  We had a huge turnout and with the glorious sunshine beating down, delicious refreshments and the Greenspace looking absolutely stunning, it was a fabulous hour of fun for all.  The children got well in to the spirit and raced around busily searching for eggs and towards the end, haul comparisons and egg negotiations began – FoSS believes the going rate was three small eggs to one large.

Shout out to Sainsburys for their last minute donation of 20 bags of eggs ensuring every child got a good haul!

Thank you to all who organised such a wonderful event, collecting eggs, serving refreshments and hiding the eggs.  Thanks also to those who took the opportunity to help with a bit of gardening in the Greenspace either before, during or after the hunt.  Greenspace is run entirely by the parents and it wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers who give up their time.  Dig days are monthly (all dates on our calendar) and require no previous gardening experience – just an hour or two to spare and willing! Even if you can only do one a year, it’s a massive help.
